FC Kaiserslautern celebrated a successful start to the season in the second Bundesliga with a 2:1 victory over SSV Ulm. The Red Devils, who were relegated to the third division last season, celebrated their first competitive win under new coach Markus Anfang with a 2:1 victory over the newly promoted team from Ulm on Sunday.
FCK wins despite falling behind
The hosts from Ulm started the game better and took an early lead through Nicolas Jann in the 18th minute. However, the FCK did not give up and came back fighting. In the 32nd minute, Boris Tomiak equalized the score and only three minutes later, Aaron Opoku scored the winning goal for the Palatinate team. In the end, the victory for the FCK was a well-deserved one, even though the Red Devils were trailing at times during the game. Kaiserslautern thus starts the season with a small exclamation mark and will now want to continue on this path.
